Polaris has been working with industry stakeholders to deliver a commercial lines e-trading Live-chat service that can be used by brokers using any imarket integrated broker system.
Applied Systems follows Acturis and SSP in deploying the capability. Initial insurers supporting Live-chat on Applied Systems will be Allianz and Axa, with more insurers following over the next few months.
Martin McLachlan, Polaris Managing Director, said;
“The deployment of Live-chat for imarket is an important step and it will significantly improve a broker’s journey, enabling more of their business to be placed via their SWH platform. Currently a lot of risks that require referral, or where the broker would like to speak to the insurer, need to be taken “out-side” of their broker system for resolution.”
Jeff Purdy, senior vice president of International Operations, Applied Systems, added;
“This latest enhancement will further enable brokers and insurers to digitally differentiate their business and ensure the best product choice and service for insurance consumers.”
Brokers will get an email, sent automatically at the end of each chat, with a transcript of the conversation, so they can save it against their quote or policy record – which is important both for audit purposes and for ongoing administration of the risk.
